A patient was inadvertently given Shingrix zoster vaccine by the subcutaneous rather than the intramuscular route. Does the dose need to be repeated?
Shingrix zoster vaccine has been shown to be immunogenic when given by the subcutaneous route. A dose erroneously given by this route does not need to be repeated.
