December 9, 2021 |
You will walk away from this webinar feeling confident and secure in your ability to administer multiple vaccines (including influenza and COVID-19) to your adult patients that they require in one visit.
The first speaker, from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Dr. Suchita Patel, is the Lead for Data Science and Innovation in the Assessment Branch, Immunization Services Division in NCIRD, and she discusses the current status of influenza and influenza vaccination in the 2021-2022 season.
The second speaker, Dr. Jason Goldman, is a practicing internist, clinical vaccination expert, and the liaison representative of the American College of Physicians to the ACIP, and he provides the science behind the acceptability (and benefits of) co-administering multiple vaccines to adults as well as his own perspective of effectively persuading patients to accept all the vaccines they need at a single visit.
The third presentation is by JoEllen Wolicki, Nurse Educator with the Communication and Education Branch at CDC, and she discusses the practical steps of properly administering multiple vaccines to an adult. This webinar includes Q&As where speakers answer questions.
To support you and your staff, the Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) has developed a new illustrated handout, to educate and support clinical staff How to Administer Multiple Intramuscular Vaccines to Adults During One Visit. Other vaccination administration materials from IAC and other partners are available on this webpage Clinic Tools: Administering Vaccines.
This webinar was developed by IAC with support from a Sanofi Pasteur educational grant. |
