Reduce Vaccination Pain in Babies
Reduce Vaccination Pain in Babies: The recently released 2-minute video “Reduce Vaccination Pain in Babies: A Guide for Parents” outlines some of the techniques that parents can use to reduce pain during routine vaccinations. During a baby’s first 18 months, needle injections are part of their routine care. The pain from these procedures can be distressing, both for the child and for the parents. In fact, negative experiences can cause parents to delay vaccinations, or not vaccinate them at all. As a result, Professor Anna Taddio, University of Toronto, created this video for parents and healthcare professionals to raise awareness of what can be done to lessen the pain experienced during vaccinations. "Like" this video to help it win an award.

The hearing was called to discuss the current multi-state outbreak of measles, the link between recent outbreaks of diseases such as measles, and some parents' decision not to vaccinate their children.
