The Scream that Should Be Heard Around the World, TEDx San Antonio
The Scream that Should Be Heard Around the World, TEDx San Antonio: Watch Anna Dragsbaek, president and CEO of The Immunization Partnership, share her powerful story as an immunization advocate. In Sierra Leone, where she was a Peace Corps volunteer, she watched children suffer from vaccine-preventable diseases, such as tetanus, measles, and polio. Later, Anna lived in China where she again witnessed people suffering from vaccine-preventable diseases, including severe influenza. Dragsbaek focuses on implementing projects to boost immunization rates and analyzing immunization law and policies. She gives a compelling and sensible approach to the case for immunization as our social contract with community and global health.
