Happy Holidays from the Immunization Action Coalition!
As 2012 closes, we would like to remind you of our work and ask for your support.
We work hard all year to provide the following free resources:
- A library of more than 250 CDC-reviewed educational handouts for your patients and staff
- Online quarterly periodicals, Needle Tips and Vaccinate Adults
- An in-depth and extensive website www.immunize.org
- The regular feature "Ask the Experts," with questions answered by CDC colleagues
Some of our accomplishments in 2012 include the following:
- Published weekly issues of IAC Express, which we emailed to more than 46,000 subscribers
- Delivered more than 2 million copies of our educational materials for patients and staff and more than 2 million VISs
- Made available more than 360 translations of VISs
- Hosted 13,000 visitors per day on www.immunize.org and 8,000 visitors per day on www.vaccineinformation.org
- Hired William L. Atkinson, MD, MPH, formerly medical epidemiologist at CDC’s NCIRD, as associate director for immunization education
- Hired L.J (Litjen) Tan, MS, PhD, formerly director of public health and medicine at the American Medical Association, as chief strategy officer starting in January 2013
