Vaccines: Mpox
Immunize.org is following CDC in updating its content with the term "mpox" as a synonym for "monkeypox." Both names may be used during the transition to the routine use of "mpox." This change is aligned with the recent World Health Organization decision to update the name.

Information about mpox disease, treatment, and outbreak response is available from CDC's Mpox main page.
Jynneos (Bavarian Nordic) is the primary vaccine used to prevent mpox. Information about ACAM2000 (Smallpox (Vaccinia) Vaccine, Live), is also included.
