Multistate Alliances
Some groups of states have organized collaborative alliances to work together on state vaccination policies and address issues related to affordable vaccine access.
The West Coast Health Alliance (WCHA) has the stated purpose of upholding the integrity of effective public health strategies that protect the health of communities in member states. The WCHA works to coordinate health guidelines by aligning public health recommendations informed by national medical organizations.
The WCHA includes public health leaders and subject matter experts from the state health departments of California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.

The Northeast Public Health Collaborative (NEPHC) is a voluntary regional alliance of public health agencies established in September 2025. Its stated purpose is to preserve and protect evidence-based public health.
The NEPHC includes New York City and the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

The Governors Public Health Alliance (GPHA) is a coalition of governors working together with the stated purpose of protecting public health, including supporting access to vaccines. GPHA members are the governors of the U.S. territory of Guam and of the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington.
