May I use the updated (2023–2024 Formula) Novavax COVID-19 protein subunit vaccine in people who are previously vaccinated?

Yes. The 2023–2024 formula Novavax vaccine is an option for any person age 12 years or older who is unvaccinated or was previously vaccinated with any COVID-19 vaccine and is due for a 2023–2024 updated vaccination. The dose may be given at least 2 months after the most recent dose of a previous COVID-19 vaccine formulation. Any person age 12 years or older who has never had a dose of COVID-19 vaccine should receive two doses of Novavax vaccine, administered 3 to 8 weeks apart as a primary series. People with moderate to severe immunocompromise may receive a third dose at least 2 months following the second dose, and may receive subsequent additional doses at the discretion of their healthcare provider, in consideration of their individual circumstances.
