Childhood Influenza Immunization Coalition (CIIC)
CIIC was established by the National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) to protect infants, children and adolescents from influenza by communicating with "one strong voice" the need to make influenza immunization a national health priority. CIIC seeks to address and improve the low influenza immunization rates among children. To contact CIIC, call (212) 886-2277 or email: CIIC@nfid.org.
Families Fighting Flu
This nonprofit organization is a group of families and pediatricians who have experienced first-hand what it is like to lose a child to influenza or to have a child experience severe medical complications from influenza. The organization's mission is reducing pediatric deaths due to influenza by raising awareness about the importance of getting all children vaccinated against this disease.
National Influenza Vaccine Summit
The NIVS is a national influenza vaccine partnership co-sponsored by the American Medical Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with more than 100 collaborating organizations. The web site offers healthcare professionals, the public, and the media an array of resources intended to encourage and facilitate seasonal influenza vaccination activities and programs.
