HERE'S MORE INFORMATION REGARDING THE IMMUNIZATION EDUCATION NURSE SPECIALIST EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY AT IAC

The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) has had many phone calls about our employment opportunity for the Immunization Education Nurse Specialist position.

The most commonly asked question is "Do I have to live in the Twin Cities area to work for IAC?"
The answer is "Yes." This position requires that you be on site in our office in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The following is some additional information about the position:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write educational pieces for health professionals and patients
  • Identify health professional and patient immunization and viral hepatitis resources
  • Provide medical/technical review of all materials distributed by IAC
  • Provide medical/technical input for NEEDLE TIPS, VACCINATE ADULTS!, and IAC EXPRESS
  • Monitor IAC website for technical accuracy
  • Answer immunization and viral hepatitis technical questions that come in via telephone, email, and written requests
  • Participate in national advisory groups and planning committees
  • Attend meetings of CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices
  • Participate in planning additional national conferences including CDC's Hepatitis Coordinators' Conference

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor or master's degree in nursing, public health, or related field; must have current nursing license
  • At least four years experience delivering health care services, including two years in immunization
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel as necessary

COMPENSATION

  • Salary commensurate with experience and skills
