REVIEWERS WANTED! ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF PREVENTION MEDICINE SEEKS PROVIDERS TO BETA-TEST NEW CD-ROM

The Association of Teachers of Prevention Medicine (ATPM) is seeking primary care providers to participate in a beta-test of its new CD-ROM, "Increasing Adult Vaccination Rates: What Works," beginning in early October. 

Participants will help review this continuing education program to identify areas that need improvement before its release in January 2001. Beta-test participants must be primary care providers (physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants) in private practice.

HAWAII IMMUNIZATION COALITION'S CONFERENCE SET FOR OCT. 26, 2000, IN HONOLULU

Sign up today for "Shots for a Lifetime: Immunization Strategies that Work," sponsored by Hawaii Immunization Coalition. This one-day conference on October 26, 2000, at Halekulani in Honolulu will teach physicians, nurses, and other health professionals strategies for overcoming immunization barriers in their individual settings. National speakers and local experts will offer sessions designed to help increase immunization rates in Hawaii. Continuing educational credits are available.

SIGN ANNUAL MEETING IN CAIRO, EGYPT, ON OCTOBER 23-24, 2000. ATTEND IN PERSON OR ELECTRONICALLY!

The Safe Injection Global Network (SIGN) will hold its annual meeting in Cairo, Egypt, on October 23-24, 2000, at the Sheraton Guezirah. The SIGN website features a special section on the annual meeting, including a draft agenda. According to SIGN, those who cannot attend the meeting in person will be able to download nearly all of the presentations and participate electronically in some of the activities.

Invitations have been sent to representatives of WHO regional offices, nongovernmental organizations, and corporations.
